JUNE 2015: DR. REST PROTOTYPE
TD Harp Guitars were originally designed to be played with a strap, while standing. But over the years there have been
questions about what to do from players who want to play sitting down, without a strap. In response, we are happy
to announce development of DR. REST, another member of our DR. HOOK accessory lineup. DR. REST an allows
the player to play comfortably without a strap, while sitting down. DR. REST balances the HG nicely on the player's leg,
and the experience is quite different from playing while standing because the left hand is now free to play complex passages.
DR. REST is a retrofit for any TDHG, and will come with a variety of finishes to match the player's HG.

I recently had the great honor of writing the forward to "FRETLESS GUITAR The Definitive Guide",
a new book by UK fretless guitarist, producer and leading authority of the instrument, Jeff Berg.
There are guitar books, and there are guitar books...but this ground-breaking book is the bible of fretless guitar.
Finally, there is a world-class book that eloquently documents the instrument I've had a love affair with for over 30 years.
Thanks to Jeff Berg's tireless research, players now have a resource for information on all aspects related to this still
somewhat rare (but not as rare as you may think) modern guitar. Besides chronicling numerous fretless guitar artists
and albums, there is a thorough history & timeline as well as detailed info on fretless guitar set up, tips & playing techniques
and festivals. Readers will enjoy the visual aspect of the book too, with it's many high-quality photos and classy print.

10/26/2014 ELECTRIC HARP GUITAR / GREGORIAN CHANT CONCERT
On December 1st, I will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform solo harp guitar at a mini-cathedral in Japan.
The Mishima Plaza Hotel Solumier has a ceiling that reaches to the heavens, so the acoustics are truly amazing.
I'm now composing specifically for this concert and will be performing Gregorian chant with electric harp guitar.

At a recent performance, ECLIPSE had quite a surprize when our good friend Kazuko-san came to the show
wearing a beautiful silk kimono that she embroidered herself with a Tim Donahue Signature Harp Guitar
and Roland V-Drums! Incredible detail and delicate technique has gone into creating this masterpiece.

While versions 1 & 2 are mounted on the harp guitar head, DR. FRET ver. 3 is a series of frets mounted
on the harp guitar body, and fingered with the left hand. Innovations such as DR. DRET 1, 2 & 3 turn the
harp section of our guitar into an independent and versatile instrument unto itself, opening up all kinds
of musical possibilites.

Lots of TD Harp Guitar activity since October! First off, my heartfelt thanks Gregg Miner, Stephen Bennett,
Joe Morgan, Frank Doucette and everyone behind the scenes who helped make the 10th Annual
Harp Guitar Gathering such a blast. It was a pleasure to not only perform on Day 1 and Day 2, but also
conduct a player's seminar and be part of the luthier's panel. Check out the pics below and Gregg Miner's
fantastic account of this world-class event.
Many thanks to Lewiston-Porter High School for hosting a TD harp guitar performance and career seminar
last November. It was great to stop by my old high school and discuss my recording career and also pass on
some knowledge about the music industry to the students. It was impressive to see Lewiston Porter's

For all my friends and fans in the Western New York area, I'll be with good friend and musician extraordinaire
Mike Killian at Hops & Vines in Lewiston NY, on Tuesday 10/30. With Mike's wonderful guitar & vocals and
electric harp guitar madness from yours truly, it will surely be a unique musical evening. Looking forward to
seeing many old friends there! I'll be playing my new Signature Harp Guitar for those interested in seeing
and hearing this amazing instrument played in an intimate setting.
I'll also be at Serene Gardens on Grand Island, NY, on Sunday 10/28 @ 6:30pm, to help raise funds for
victims of Japan's Great Tohoku Earthquake. Come out for a good cause, and hear some music never
heard outside of Japan, composed specially for this tragedy.

Happy to announce I will be performing at the 10th Annual Harp Guitar Gathering (HGG10) this
November 2, 3, 4 at the Uptown Theater in Grand Prairie Texas. This event will feature some of the world's
most renown guitarists, with 3 days of concerts, seminars and lectures. In addition to the main concert,
I will be giving a player's seminar on my harp guitar playing techniques and will also give a separate lecture
on the development of my current production model harp guitars. This will surely be a memorable event for guitarists
and music lovers around the world, and I look forward to premiering lots of new solo music on the electric harp guitar.

on March 24th - 25th. Between 40 - 50 beautiful handmade guitars, basses, and even a few

11/15/2011 CUSTOM TIM DONAHUE SIGNATURE HARP GUITAR IN PRODUCTION
A new fretless version of the TD Signature Harp Guitar is being manufactured in Nagano, Japan,
with completion date set for this year-end. This model will go to a veteran fretless guitarist in France,
and will include DR. HOOK as well a nice, added touch to the fretless fingerboard. Look for pictures in
early 2012!

For those who have not heard the disturbing news about the Feds recent raid on Gibson's factories,
this article is well worth reading. Fortunately, Tim Donahue Signature Harp Guitars come with
documentation of certification of the agents who have supplied woods used on the TD harp guitars.
These sources are legitimate dealers, registered within the European Community. This documentation
is included in all Tim Donahue Signature Harp Guitars shipped after November 2011, and will be sent
to owners whose instruments we shipped prior to this time.
